Want to nail that key presentation?
Do you want to master speechmaking?
Sussex Online Speakers is a new international online speaking club – part of Toastmasters International. This club is specifically focused on helping members connect from anywhere. Already, members have joined us from the USA, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, Poland, and South Africa.
While, in normal times, most other clubs meet in person and many of them plan to return to in-person meetings, we will stay online, so you can join every meeting from wherever you may be in the world. We meet every 2nd and 4th Monday at 7:00 pm.
To boost your speaking confidence, we offer an educational program called Pathways – a programme developed to help members of our club to develop speaking and listening techniques, and learn speechcrafting and leadership skills. Discover where Pathways can take you by clicking here.
At every single meeting of Sussex Online Speakers, we support our members to learn and grow, using the opportunities in the wider Toastmasters network as well as a professional and personal approach to each member’s goals. Members follow a route towards giving speeches and to honing their communication and leadership skills. For example, from the start members are encouraged to take on roles at meetings, and to join in club development activities. Find out more.
Where? Wherever you are. Here’s our registration link to join us.
When? Join us on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 7 pm in the UK. Log in any time from 6:30 pm to meet other members before we start.
Why? Sussex Online Speakers was born from the pandemic and lockdown in almost every country in the world. It began with a handful of members from Sussex clubs deciding that connections made online create their very own magic. We believe that online public speaking is a real skill to be honed and developed. Our club enables members to connect from anywhere.
Who? Founding members, and club sponsors Amy Jones and Lucy Brooks were joined by two further founding members, Tom Gray and Teresa Cattermole. Since those early days we have been joined by members from all over the world.
The club is well-positioned to support anyone who wants to challenge their public speaking and communication skills in an online environment.
Using a pathways system, members follow a route not just towards giving speeches, but also to honing their communication and leadership skills. For example, from the start members are encouraged to take on roles at meetings, and to join in club development activities.
